Inspite of your popularity, people still want to know more about you, where do you hail from sir?
Yeah, I’m from Ilaro in Yewa South local government area of Ogun state
The role of the family as a primary influence on the outcome of an individual’s life is incontestable so tell us about your family?
I am the last child among five children of Mr and Mrs G.O.Adegbite, I was born and brought up in Ilaro, and I cannot forget my childhood years when I used to swim and fetch firewood to sell to buyers alongside my childhood friends; I equally hawked pap, fishpie, chinchin, eba kokobe (soupless eba) and so on. It was fun to me while growing up.
You really had an active childhood, so which schools did you attend?
I attended Federal Polytechnic staff school, Ilaro, from there I proceeded to Egbado College, thereafter Anglican Grammar School in Ilaro. I was at Ogun State Polytechnic(now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic )for my national diploma programme, before proceeding to The Polytechnic in Ibadan for my Higher National Diploma, after which I headed to Zamfara state for the national youth service programme.
Teachers are said to be destiny helpers, which particular teacher affected your destiny in the most positive dimension?
That was my Head of Department in The Polytechnic in Ibadan, Mr Fadero.
Before you ventured into the movie industry, what were other things you laid your hands on?
I worked in the defunct National Electric Power Authority(NEPA).
What circumstances led you into the movie industry and made you leave NEPA?
It’s about passion and what I loved to do as at then, no circumstances at all instigated my move into the movie industry, I actually left NEPA to enable me concentrate fully on my movie industry career.
Presently, are there other things you actively involve in aside acting?
Yeah, I do more of acting, directing and producing films all in one.
Which particular film will you describe as the most challenging for you so far?
That is my recently released movie LASISI ALAAPOOKA, due to my having to play different characters in the movie.
Which of your movies will you rate as the best so far?
Most of my movies are the best, I can’t say one. My present movie will surely be the best above previous ones.
Good, that means you keep evolving and not resting on your laurels, but there are always two sides to a coin, so, what near unpleasantness have you experienced in your career as a movie industry practitioner?
Definitely there have been ups and downs, but thank God for everything, time will not be enough to narrate all the experience, but the most important fact is that I triumphed and there are still challenges up till now.
From your point of view, what are the obstacles hindering the Nigeria film industry from giving other film industries a good run for their money?
Piracy is a big obstacle.
If you are not active as a film industry practitioner, what other fields of human endeavor will you prefer to be involved in?
The legal profession and business.
As an international visitor which countries have you visited and how have the visits influenced you?
I have been to United States of America, Canada, South Africa and Benin Republic, and the visits have been eye opening with positive effects on me.
You have been to North America, precisely USA and Canada, how do you compare and contrast American and Canadian lifestyles?
American lifestyle is fun, Canadian lifestyle is way too dry.
As a celebrity, which music brand and musicians are your favourite?
Gospel music is my favourite,I listen to Baba Ara songs,then,I love hiphop songs such as those of Davido,Kizz Daniel,Nice and so on.
Aside acting, what are your passion and hobbies?
I love watching football and reading news.
How do you unwind after a hectic day’s activities?
By reading and relaxing.
What kind of books and reading materials do you enjoy most?
Any book that is interesting, I can read elementary books in as much as they are interesting and I study mostly through the internet platform.
I’m sure you enjoy food just like the rest of us, tell us about your favourite food?
Every good food is my favourite, but I prefer swallow.
What awards, honours and recognitions have you received based on your film industry career?
Though I’m not a lover of awards, I have received awards both home and abroad.
Kindly mention some of the awards you have been dignified with?
CEMMA Award, LOBAT Award, Excellent Artiste Award and Nigeria Canadian Celebrities Award.
